Our School
Academy has been educating professional hair stylists for over 20 years. The
Academy of Professional Hair Design is registered and governed by the Alberta
Vocational Schools Act. We offer the 1400 hour Beauty Culture Certification
Program.
Shadowing
Call to book a day with one of our students to see what you'll be learning
when you join the Academy. You will shadow a student, be able to ask questions
and gain more insight into this excellent career opportunity. We love visitors,
so come check us out. (JAY - yellow can be left out, since its kinda gay, you

For two months each morning is dedicated to the instruction and demonstration
of these chapters. The afternoon is spent applying this information practically
on mannequins and other students under the guidance of our excellent theory
instructor.
Practical Application
Next you’ll be working with clients in a salon like atmosphere. This an
exciting transformation time for our students. Confidence is built and the real
experience begins. The remaining eight months is spent honing the skills with
the guidance and encouragement of our educators. Our talented educators stay
up to date on the latest trends by attending “What’s New”
programs in cutting techniques, color and perming, which they then pass on to
you!
Additional Inspirational Training
Health – we believe students should be aware of health issues specifically
related to the cosmetology industry. Topics include: the benefits of essential
oils, wheat grass& detoxification.
Financial Literacy is another area we cover as well as handwriting analysis.
Enrollment Requirements
Personal Interview
Minimum 17 years of age
Completion of grade 10 science
Student funding is available for qualified candidates.

Registration fee is $75.00 and will secure a place for you in our next session. This fee is non refundable and is included in your tuition.
